Great Service
Solid location, very clean building, and the most responsive maintenance crew.
2026 Review
The building is in excellent shape, the facilities are well-maintained, and the neighbors are awesome! There are way more positives that I could dive into, but I don't have all that much space left, so, I'll just rattle off a couple that I'm extra-happy with: the security system (key fobs), consistent heat & electricity & water & internet, working elevators (most of the time; occasionally one goes down), and next to zero pests (I've been here 6 years and seen a grand total of maybe 3 nightcrawlers). Now, this wouldn't be an honest review without mentioning some downsides - although, these largely can't be helped. In the midst of downtown Davenport, there are train tracks nearby, and trains run at all hours. Even 3 AM. On top of that, the building sits on the intersection of two major roads, and so emergency vehicles pass nearby quite often. The noise is something that must be learned to be tolerated. Besides the noise, the buildings in downtown Davenport generally do not have their own parking, and this apartment building is no exception. Parking streetside is free, up to 2 hours Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM, and free the rest of the time ... unless there is a parade or the Bix, in which case you need to move your car promptly or the city will tow it before you can blink. That's not a threat; it's a promise. There are, however, several paid parking ramps nearby which the city allows residents to purchase parking passes for. There are also some free parking lots nearby, if you learn to look for them. In all cases, there is just a little bit of walking involved. Alight, I don't have too much space left. This place is great, and I look forward to 2026!
Very nice place to live
It has been a fantastic place to stay, over the past few years. During my time here, most of my experiences have been quite positive, particularly noting: *Building security (electronic locks) *Maintenance response *Working amenities *Functioning utilities (water; power including heating; air conditioning; internet) *Inspections / structurally sound (I'm adding this one because the unrelated 2023 collapse of a different apartment building was two blocks away) If there was anything I could improve, that would be these things: *Noise: The building is on the corner of 3rd St. and Brady St., which are both very busy roads. It is also a primary route for emergency vehicles (fire trucks and ambulances) pretty much around the clock. We also have active train tracks not far away, so hearing a train horn at 3 AM is a distinct possibility. (After a while, you learn to tune out the noise.) *Parking: The building provides no parking itself. There are a few street-side parking spots around the outside of the building, limited to 2 hours during the business day Mon - Fri. However, for the most part, it is up to the resident to make arrangements with the city to obtain a resident's permit for a parking garage nearby (of which there are several). Alternatively, you could park in any of the free parking lots nearby, if you are familiar with the area and if you don't mind a short walk.
